My dad was a physician and teacher; my mom was a dancer with the San Francisco Ballet. Thanks to them, exploration and expression were the fabric of my childhood. Living as a toddler on a Massachusetts farm, and in rural Nebraska as a second and third grader gave me sense of curiosity and wonder about the natural world. These early experiences of seeing, listening and living in the moment prepared me for the twin passions of my adult life, music and photography - skills I taught myself while I was supposed to be getting a college education. I rely on intuition, improvisation, and paying attention to what's going on around me as I work... and play.
